About

Hello, I’m Daniel Moori and currently I’m living in São Paulo (Brazil).
I’ve studied electrical engineering at USP (University of São Paulo),
and Graphic Design at ESPM (Superior School of Advertising and Marketing)

I used to be a game programmer and still like to code gameplay prototypes and my own small games.
Recently, I handle mostly system design, game balance, gameplay design, and management activities.
I try to stay connected to some kind of educational activity. So I teach online courses; mentor people breaking into the industry; and yap too much on game design podcasts.

Currently:

  • I’m looking for work!
  • I’m a podcast host at GDP (pt-br only)
  • Occasionally, I’m a Game Design teacher/mentor
  • Indie Game Developer/Designer

Formerly:

I’ve worked at Wildlife Studios from 2021 to 2023, as a Senior Game Designer, leading the Zooba’s game design team.
I’ve worked at Fanatee from 2018 to 2021, as a Game Designer, Senior Game Designer and then Game Designer Specialist
I’ve worked at Sioux from 2016 to 2018, first as a Game Developer, then as Project Manager and finally as the Lead Game Designer, coordinating the mobile game development team.
I was the curator Videogame/VR Exhinbition at FILE in 2017.

Additional work

I work at Retromaze, a two-man indie game studio I’ve put together with my buddy back in 2012.

In 2009, during my degree in electrical engineering, I helped put together an art and technology lab at USP. I’m no longer involved, but you can check their facebook here.
